Walibi Summer Challenge

During the summer months, we worked out a unique challenge for Walibi to reach both French-speaking and Dutch-speaking families. Our solution? Launching our own bilingual series on Walibi Belgium’s official YouTube channel, supported by in-house produced Instagram Reels and fun content / behind-the-scenes on influencers’ channels.

Content Creation x Content Collaboration

Content Creation:
Walibi has pretty strong channels, both on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. So with the Summer Challenge, we capitalized on this by having a well-known Flemish family compete against a well-known French-speaking family. During the production day, they meet seven different influencers in the park, who challenge them to complete the assignment as quickly as possible while the clock continues to tick. You can discover who could set the fastest time throughout the four episodes on YouTube, while teasers can be found on the IG channels of Walibi Belgium and both families.

Content Collaboration:
The influencers, who each had their own challenge ready for both families, also made a TikTok themselves. This time not for Walibi’s channels, but to post on their own account. To ensure the reach, these videos were also boosted with an advertising budget.

NL vs FR

An “obstacle” in Belgian campaigns is often the use of French-speaking profiles. Especially at a AAA level. The fact is that the supply of FR creators is rather limited, especially if we look a little further into the demographics of the followers. Those who wish to engage French-language profiles, often largely reach France, while the client (in this case) is looking for local reach. Using additional information, we ensured a tight selection to get the most out of the campaign and reach the audience Walibi specifically needed.
