Sheep Detectives: A Whodunit on a Real Farm
For Sony Pictures Belgium, we brought a mystery to life. Rather than creating a traditional movie promotion, we turned the release of Sheep Detectives into a real-life whodunit on an actual farm. A carefully selected group of family influencers and their children stepped into the role of detectives, searching for clues across an idyllic countryside setting. Their adventure ended with a surprise no one saw coming: an elegant high tea served right in the middle of the meadow.
The Case
As every great detective knows, there can be no mystery without suspects. We transformed the farm into a real crime scene, complete with “SUSPECT” posters of the sheep covering the barn walls, a playful nod to Agatha Christie (Poirot included), and a detective kit for every child. Armed with tufts of wool as evidence, sheep ear headbands as their disguise, and a bag full of clues, the children set off across the farm. Running, sneaking, and investigating their way through the barns and fields, they searched for the culprit behind the mystery.
The mystery revolved around a group of missing lambs, and at the end of the investigation, the children were able to find them themselves. Every child went home with a goodie bag containing their own detective kit and the lamb they had “rescued” – a tangible reminder of the case they had solved on their own.

From Investigation to High Tea
Once the mystery had been solved, the day entered its second chapter: an elegant high tea served in the middle of the picturesque countryside. A delightful contrast to the mud and adventure that came before, it also became the perfect moment for parents to create their own authentic content from their unique perspective.
Social Coverage
Beyond an unforgettable day and experience, the event generated an abundance of beautiful content. Alongside the official aftermovie, creators captured and shared countless feel-good moments filled with smiling faces. Both Dutch- and French-speaking creators translated the experience into engaging social-first content, making the activation a great success both online and offline.
